From the history of UK bingo, playing bingo was originally done by the British troops of World War I. Despite the concerns about the unfairness and the fixing of the game, it provided the unshakable soldiers with an enjoying social event as well as boosts their morale.
After almost a hundred years, Gala uk bingo came up with the latest press release tying it up with the British troop history. With the request from the Queen’s own Gurkha Logistic Regiment out on the Afghanistan frontline, Gala supplied bingo kits for the British troops in that area. A bingo charity night would allow them to raise funds for Cancer Research.
Gala sent the troops with dabbers, cards and vouchers for prizes to help them raise money. A gold jacket was used by the last year’s caller who called the bingo game on Everest. The gold jacket is now being worn by Lance Corporal George Horne who accepted the duty of being the event’s caller. The fifty soldiers took part of the event are all receiving a free night out on Gala after returning from Afghanistan.
